This sword is not listed in Brokliv's guide. So I want to know what skill level required to wield it or it is just one of those elemental sword requiring only level 1.
Note: from what I searched, this sword has 100 hits and 25 point damage and vampiric. So it's just a shade better than Lastna's blade.
Lastna: 22AP damage, vampiric, 300 hits, also fast.
So I say it isn't worth the trouble but I will try to get it anyway. [8D]

You only need a skill of 1 to use Clineschmidt's Blade.
Considering how comparatively early in the game you can get it, and that you start the game with enough skill to use it, it's a score.
The puzzle in the game is broken, so obviously you'd apply the statue's button sequence as soon as you get there... instead of waiting to find all the puzzle stones.
There's also the idea that it's identical to a Mithril greatsword, but still Fast. That's almost as good as the vampiric quality.

After completing shiverbane, I tried to do the Clineschmidt's Blade quest. First I saved in front of the statue then tried S.E.E.W.S.N.N.S.
I tried score of times, the gate remained close.
Note: I have read about the South is when the arrow facing up etc.
The only thing I can think of is the first time I was at the statue, I did push a couple of buttons. I don't know if that will mix up the program.

Yes.
If you have Time Slow or an Invisibility or Invulnerability potion, you can make easy work of it. Stick and move tactics work, as does forcing the Skeletons to hit eachother or the barrier (which also causes damage).
Clineschmidt's is a good weapon, pleasing to look at, and neatly foreshadows Mournbringer.
