Never looked deeply at either of them, just a quick glance (I began an ideia for a map - never passed to the designing phase), but, of couse, in sometime, pople will begin developing their maps, their continuations for the story (it always happens), and besides, the games that were/are still played are the ones with an editor and with a Multiplayer. So, now that I think about it, it's a good idea.

Oh, and I almost forgot: Soultaker.

=) Thanks! And that's a rite point there, about games that are still being played.

At I didn't forget: it's already in. :) In fact, it will behave a bit different!

Unlike OOTF, even if the victim dies you will still get your HP drained - there will be a powerup to (temporarily) disable Soultaker's HPdrain, but it will be a lot more dangaerous weapon - to yourself and to others as well. :)

And, when you die coz of HP drainage (happens ;) ) there will be a special text instead of the generic "you died" stuff. ("Player seems to have actually forgotten about the HP draining..." that is. :) )

=)

Well, I will try to fix the bugs in the current build for now. I'm getting closer; if I sorted the mapsize and the playermodell bugs it would be ready... no need to say, taht two is the hardest issue tho :P

That's good news indeed. :)

Now, 'bout Soultaker: how making the player have to use it? Like making some nasty boss only wounded (or more vulnerable) to it, what's require some micromanagement/quick thinking from the player, trying not to get killed by the enemy or by the sword... if it can be done.

Oh, and BTW: will we, like OOTF, have to be careful with the weapons' durability, or they'll be all indestructible? The latter is a bit boring, to say the least...

PS: If some weapon's background history is needed, I can give a help... That's one of my hobbies, to make stories about, let's say... THE sword.

I will most likely implement durability. However, unlike OOTF, hitting the landscape WILL damage weapons. =)

About forcing the player use Soultaker - playes who orientated to archers or mages would be really happy about it, I believe. :)

And you can make the history about the famous swords of Drakan then - Drakan2 homepage always welcomes those stuff. ;)

Feel very free to write history for swords, weapons, maps anything really I delete one of the more useless pages on the Drakan Pc 2 site and replace it with somthing History of Drakan so all you people who like doing that kind of stuff can make a rich background for the site.

First, some generic info (story?) about items, enemies or the main characters of Drakan (Rynn, Arokh, Heron, Navaros, Atimar, Delon, anyone-who-I-forgot) - feel free to write about anything :) It can be long if you would like to make it long... make it into TXT or DOC file; if you feel like including pics do so, but I can do that either (I have tons of Drakan screenshots anyway). =)

Well, I'm not done yet, but you can check the progresses in http://clientes.netvisao.pt/joaantlo/D2PC.txt . What's there now ain't great, now I'm having a lack of creativity, but I hope it gets better in days to come.
