Surdana- Dark Tower - Need help

In the very northwest of Surdana at the end of a valley, there is a black tower. The metal gates are closed and I dont know what to do there or how it opens. Can somebody help?

You need to see the lady in the tower who you buy spells from (I forgot her name) to get the sidequest. Once you have spoken to her, the gate should be open or unlocked.

The tower ur talking of is the entrance to Kossa Vole's lair, the City of the Damned. to get in speak with Jade the sorceror to access the quest. Kossa's realm is pretty simple, it is mostly inhabited by undead, make ur way over to the green mounds (look around the trees for a unique blade) and search for a tomb entrance, there is a body floating in the middle and u have to destroy it so Kossa Vole wont b immune. Kossa will break thru the wall nearby, dispatch of him and the quest is completed. once u have emerged, be sure to look out for a shiny thing in the air, this is another Breath attack for Arokh.
