1. When fighting the bone devil in the catacombs, retreat back up the stairs and u can pick him off with ur bow, relatively simple.

2. Before heading to the Adrelian Isles, complete the Kossa Vole quest to gain a power up, this will make ur stay on the Isles much easier.

The Kossa Vole quest is the one were you saw the castle like structure in Surdana - the one which is guarded by bone dragons. Its also known as the city of the dammned quest.
