Can someone tell me where this fool is I'm supposed to rescue. I did talk to him before fighting toadfist but he is not where the walk through says he should be... I see nothing but I do hear trogs. Can someone help me?

You see him 3 times during the swamp level. Did you rescue him from the prision cell earlier, because if not he will not appear after killing toadfist and you will be unable to get the earthblade. If you backtrack to the bit where the library was, he is in the large open hall behind it, the doorway to the prison is between the two stairs that lead back to the water cave above.

This may / may not work, try it if you can as the earthblade is worth having and leads to something better later in the game.
